How a cooling mat actually works
Three layers do the work: a chew-resistant 600D nylon top, a food-grade pressure-activated gel core, and a non-slip backing.
The gel is a slow-conducting medium that pulls heat from your dog's body and stores it as the gel re-organizes its molecular structure. After about 3 hours of contact, lift the mat for 15–20 minutes; the gel resets and you're back to a 15°F surface drop.
